Since 2005, people of all ages in Central Virginia have explored history, math, science, and more through The Amazing Adventures of Scorpy Bug. Scorpy provides an innovative approach to the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) curriculum, by complementing classroom lessons and activities with the cartoon series.

Scorpy and his friends embark on adventures, exploring different topics and themes relating to the SOL curriculum. Learning about topics as diverse as economics, Roman History, the arts, probability and electricity, the blend of engaging graphics, information and humor makes learning fun and exciting.

Each year, local educators help determine the topics and themes, to ensure that the series is addressing the needs of teachers and students. In addition to the thematic cartoon, Scorpy also features a weekly timeline that explores important historical events and Knowledge Squared, an activity that complements the topic and themes of the day.
