Position: Marketing Intern - Fall 2013
The Marketing Intern will work closely with the Director of Marketing. This will include but not be limited to: preparing marketing information and communications, help maintain social media and online presence (online calendars), provide assistance with all online marketing initiatives, including content creation. The intern will also assist with general office work such as data entry, copying, and filing, as well as other administrative needs of the organization staff.
Candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships - both in person and over the phone. In addition, he/she should be able to coordinate with all departments involved to ensure the successful completion of the event and marketing programs. A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required. Candidate must be able to quickly learn the marketing plan and the goals of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet is required. Attention to detail a plus. Ability to be flexible with tasks given needed.
- Passion for staying up to date on current and emerging digital marketing trends
- Understanding of social media as marketing platform
- Experience with Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, & Instagram
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
Education and Experience Profile
-Currently pursuing or recently received Bachelor's degree Marketing, Communications or related field
Hours are flexible. Some evening and weekend hours will be required. This is an unpaid internship but may count towards professional development/experiential learning credits.
